The Los Angeles Times broke the news that the 17-time Grammy winner will perform on the show in support of her self-titled album, which has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S., so far. The last time Queen Bey performed at the Grammys was in 2010 — she sung ‘If I Were a Boy’ and ‘You Oughta Know.’
Longtime Grammy Awards show producer Ken Ehrlich didn’t deny or confirm Beyonce’s appearance but he did say that he would love to work with her again.
“She’s incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying, ‘wow,’” he said.
“Should she be on the show this year?” he continued. “I would think that the potential is there for that kind of moment.”
In addition to Beyonce, pop icon Madonna is expected to appear to lend guest vocals during a performance from one of the night’s nominees.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Jan. 26 at 7PM CT on CBS.
