Male Victim In SXSW Incident Identified

A 35-year-old Dutch musician and music agency employee was one of two people killed Thursday morning when a suspected drunk driver plowed through a crowd of South by Southwest festival-goers, the Austin American-Statesman reports.

Steven Craenmehr, was identified by his employer, Massive Music, on the company’s website and Facebook page Thursday morning.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said late Thursday morning that a Dutch man was riding his bicycle near the intersection of East 11th and Red River streets before being run over by a suspected drunken driver. The American-Statesman has confirmed the identity of the suspect, Rashad Charjuan Owens, 22, of Killeen.
