Austin police have added new charges to the man responsible for the deadly crash that shook the South by Southwest Music Festival on March 13.
Rashad Owens of Killeen has been charged with 20 new counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the deadly crash in which authorities say he was driving drunk and fleeing police.
The 21-year-old is accused of driving a stolen car through a crowd of festival-goers, injuring 17 and killing four.
No new murder charges have been filed since two crash victims died while in the hospital. The latest death was 18-year-old Fort Worth resident Deandre Tatum, who died Thursday.
