“New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” is one of the most electric shows of the entire year when it comes to getting big-name performers on one show and then delivering on making sure that everyone in attendance has a great time. The lineup this year was also one of the best that the show has ever had, and it includes everyone from Miley Cyrus to Pitbull to Blondie and many more. Here are some of my favorite highlights of this year’s show.
Pitbull, “Don’t Stop the Party” and “Timber” – Easily one of my favorite performances of the night, Mr. Worldwide definitely knows how to kee the party going with is medley of hits from Miami. Too bad, he couldn’t get Ke$ha to help out with ‘Timber” but with the fast pace of his performance, she may have gotten in the way.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” – A pair of fast, wonderful Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performances that remind you why they had such a breakout year. These are both good songs, but one of the major reasons for the duo’s success is because they are so fantastic live.
Robin Thicke, “Blurred Lines” – Robin’s New Year’s resolution is probably to not have to perform this song anymore. The guy has got to be exhausted with it at this point!
